GPS Acreage Determination

Using GPS (Global Positioning System) technology, we can determine the
area of any piece of land, whether irregular in shape or not, by simply
walking around the perimeter of the parcel with a hand-held GPS unit.
We can use this for determining the number of acres in a cutover to be
planted, the number of acres in an irregular-shaped timber sale area, etc..
