Timber Inventories and Appraisals

An essential part of proper forest management is determining the volume
of timber by species and product on a particular tract. We do this in connection
with all timber and land sales, and also for companies or individuals who need
inventories as a basis for purchasing new tracts, for planning future operations
on present ownerships, to settle estates or divisions of ownership, or for other
various reasons. We can appraise the timber by applying values current at the
specified time, whether it’s the present or a specified date in the past such as
for a tax basis.
