Timber Sales

Timber is a long-term investment. You may only sell timber once or twice in your
lifetime, so it's important you do it right. When you hire us to sell your timber, our
priority is to get you the highest price, net to you. In selling sawtimber, we measure
each tree, not a sample that is always subject to large errors, so that you know
exactly what you are selling. In our sale announcements, we prepare a tree count by
diameter classes so buyers know exactly what they are buying. We also provide easy
to read, accurate location and tract maps to help them locate and examine the timber.
We send out 100 or more invitations to bid on each sale, giving your timber as much
exposure as possible. Our sales are sealed-bid, lump-sum sales, generating competition
between the buyers, thus producing a higher price for you. If we can't get more for
your timber, net to you, we'll do our work for nothing. We'll also prepare the timber
deed and include provisions to protect yourself and your property. We'll inspect the
logging operation to insure that the provisions are followed. We also handle pine plantation thinnings by marking the cut or leave trees to insure that the best quality trees are left for future timber.
